The 8th ASTS Leadership Development Program, September 23-26, brought together a diverse array of attendees and speakers in another successful cohort at the Kellogg School of Management. The LDP focuses on immersing participants in an intense journey to becoming better transplant business leaders.
The LDP kicked off with an opening session focused on helping leaders navigate the complex ecosystem in transplantation. Speaker perspectives included surgeon, administrator, OPO, Hospital C-Suite, and CMS. The session yielded lively conversation and a lengthy and engaging question and answer panel.
The professors from Kellogg provided interactive sessions focused on accounting and financial management, negotiations, strategy, and talent management. Their expertise never disappoints, and attendees walked away with new found skills and outlook on these tremendously important leadership topics.
The 2018 LDP featured a new innovations theme day, where attendees focused on a range of forward-thinking concepts including design thinking, strategy development, and a group competition project. Dr. Giuliano Testa capped off the day with a fascinating keynote about Baylor’s journey to the first uterus transplant.
