I would like to start off my final message to you by extending my sincere appreciation to each and every member of our Society who has made my year as ASTS President a positive and rewarding experience. It has been a privilege to serve as President of ASTS and to work with you this past year on many important endeavors. Together, we confronted challenges in our Society, the transplantation community, and the world and worked together to come up with proactive solutions. I am especially grateful to the members of the COVID-19 Strike Force and the Boldly Against Racism (BAR) Task Force for the many hours they have invested this year to create and implement bold action plans to combat the issues brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and nationwide racial injustices.
