Informate.org is a new website available in both Spanish and English, specifically designed to help the Hispanic/Latino community make informed treatment decisions about kidney donation and transplantation by providing resources and neutral information. The website is interactive, including telenovelas and quizzes, and addresses common Hispanic cultural concerns about transplantation and donation. Informate.org is an exceptional learning tool for patients, family members, and potential living kidney donors. Funding for the research and development of the site was provided by HRSA and was created jointly by staff members of Northwestern University and the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois.
