Resources for Advanced Transplant Providers
As the art and science of transplantation has grown over recent decades, so has the presence of Advanced Practice Providers in Transplant (ATPs). Advanced Transplant Providers are integral members of the transplant team, positively impact the quality of care of transplant patients and are instrumental in the growth of transplant programs. Below are some resources to help support ATPs in their professional development.
ASTS ATP Mentorship Program - Mentor applications now open!
ASTS is excited to announce the launching of the ASTS Advanced Transplant Provider (ATP: NP/PA) Mentorship Program. This program aims to help foster ATPs’ professional growth in their early to mid-careers in transplantation. The program was developed by the ASTS ATP Committee to increase the professional development and longevity of ATPs in transplant fields.
If you have a passion for mentoring, we strongly encourage you to apply to become an ASTS ATP mentor. This would be a one-year commitment from January 2022 to December 2022. To apply to be a mentor, you must be an ATP with greater than 5 years of experience in a field in transplant and an ASTS Associate member. The mentor application deadline is Sunday, September 12, 2021. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to apply to become a mentee, please revisit this site in October. Mentee applications will be open from October 1, 2021 to November 14, 2021.
