As the art and science of transplantation has grown over recent decades, so has the presence of Advanced Practice Providers in Transplant (ATPs). Advanced Transplant Providers are integral members of the transplant team, positively impact the quality of care of transplant patients and are instrumental in the growth of transplant programs. Below are some resources to help support ATPs in their professional development.
ASTS recognizes ATPs’ service to transplant professionals and transplant patients through the ATP Award. This award recognizes the individual for their time and effort dedicated to advancing clinical practice through translation of scientific information, development of standards, and clinical mentoring of the Advanced Transplant Provider. In 2020, 4 Advanced Transplant Provider Research Grants were awarded.
Applications for the 2021 ASTS ATP research grants ($3,500 for 1 year plus $1,500 honoraria; up to 4 available) closed on February 8, 2021. The ASTS Foundation is grateful to our generous sponsors of the 2021 ATP Research Grant.
