The 2018 nominations period for ASTS Council positions is now open! Terms will begin in June 2018 for the following positions:
Nominations must be submitted online by midnight on December 4, 2017, and members may nominate themselves or any active ASTS member by clicking here and filling out the submission form. For a nomination to be seriously considered, the nominee must be dedicated to the field of transplantation, have a strong interest in serving, and have a history of Society participation including, but not limited, to:
All nominees will be asked to complete a biography form outlining their service to ASTS, the transplant community as a whole, and their personal vision for the Society. Two letters of support from advocates of the nominee’s choosing are also required. The ASTS Nominating Committee will review all completed submissions and select the final ballot of 6 nominees for 3 councilor-at-large positions, 3 nominees for 1 treasurer, and 1 nominee for president-elect.
All nominees will be announced to membership in February 2018, and detailed biographical information for each candidate will be provided on ASTS.org. Eligible ASTS voting members will also be sent voting instructions in February, and the election results will be announced at the ASTS Annual Business Meeting held during ATC in Seattle in June 2018.
