  •  Providing immediate access to new developments in science and clinical practice
  • Facilitating active discussions of transplantation among experts in many fields, creating forums for the exploration and critical analysis of public policy and ethical issues

The CenterSpan listserv is open to transplant professionals who work in academic and medical institutions, independent medical centers, and the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Any professional active in transplantation can subscribe to CenterSpan.

CenterSpan was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in June 1996, as the first project of its kind established to serve the transplant community. The primary goals of CenterSpan were to disseminate information, foster global dialogue, and strengthen clinical investigation through a variety of cutting edge products and services. Upon the dissolution of the the CenterSpan entity in 2011, the American Society of Transplant Surgeons assumed ownership and responsibility for hosting the CenterSpan listserv.
