Description: Zika, tuberculosis, chagas, histo, cocci, strongyloides, and many more infectious diseases: With new infections emerging every day, uncertainty rises in terms of how they might impact transplantation. Can an infected deceased donor donate and can these organs be used for transplantation? What can be treated, what should be avoided? What impact might an infected organ have on graft and patient survival? During this webinar, a number of emerging regional infectious diseases of concern to the transplant community will be examined.
