Minimally Invasive Donor Nephrectomy Workshop

This course is designed to give participants detailed knowledge of the donor nephrectomy procedure, including the pre-operative workup and post-operative care. It will provide those new to the procedure with an introduction to the minimally invasive approach and will offer the experienced participant tools to expand his or her technique.

The course encompasses 1½ days and includes a live surgery viewing where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the procedure. There will also be a didactic session followed by a cadaver lab. The participants will gain knowledge of patient and kidney selection, intraoperative techniques and pearls, and appropriate post-operative care.
