The Fellowship Certification Pathway is available for fellows that have successfully completed a Transplant Accreditation & Certification Council (TACC) Accredited Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship Training Program in 2019 and beyond. Candidates are required to be in practice for a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years. Candidates must also have an active (non-expired) license to practice.
Candidates applying for certification must add their post-fellowship surgical log cases to the Academic Universe Surgical Log. Please email tacc@asts.org to be added to the Fellowship Certification surgical log cycle.
If the application is approved, eligible candidates will be able to sit for the 2022 Oral Exam. The fee for the oral exam is $1,500.
Fellows are provided a certificate of completion if they successfully complete an accredited fellowship training program. This certificate of completion is an acknowledgement of training. This certification will give you recognition for your training, practice, and acknowledgement that you are a Certified Abdominal Transplant Surgeon. This certification is optional but is strongly encouraged.
