The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) and Transplant Accreditation & Certification Council (TACC) leadership have been closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 on the 2020 Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship Match. After surveying Fellowship Training Program Directors, and learning more about how centers have been affected the ASTS and TACC have decided to delay the rank order list deadline for this year’s match. All rank order lists will be due by Monday, August 3, 2020, and match results will be available Monday, August 10, 2020. This delay is to allow programs and applicants additional time to conduct interviews. The ASTS and TACC encourage virtual interviews during this time for the safety of the candidates, as well as the functionality of residency training programs, during the current pandemic.
The revised timetable for the 2020 for 2021 Match is below:
January 15, 2020 |
Applicant registration begins |
February 5, 2020 |
Target date for applicants to complete application |
August 3, 2020 |

August 11, 2020 |
