A diverse group of participants included transplant surgeons, advanced transplant providers, a trainee, and our sponsors. Approximately 30 members engaged Capitol Hill staffers on the Comprehensive Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage for Kidney Transplant Patients Act (S.3353/H.R. 5534) and the Living Donor Protection Act of 2019 (S. 511/H.R. 1224). We discussed a joint letter ASTS signed onto with 23 other members of the Transplant Roundtable asking the senate leadership to pass the Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage bill as soon as possible.
