Anonymous Non-directed Living Donors and Social Media Survey

May 18, 2016, 12:15 PM by User Not Found
In this new age of social media, platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have affected patients’ ability to broadcast their stories and their need for organs to the public. The attitudes of the transplant community about the effect of social media on living donation have not been examined.

The ASTS Living Donation Committee has created a brief survey to assess the transplant community’s views to determine current attitudes towards the use of anonymous non-directed living donors (ANDLDs) who present their willingness to donate through the use of social media.
