Make a Gift

ASTS and its Foundation are getting close to reaching a goal of $20 million in net assets. Achieving this milestone will allow the Foundation to formally establish an endowment to support research, education, and other ASTS activities. We need your help to reach the finish line.

The ASTS Foundation is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, therefore your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.  The Foundation is a nonprofit, operating since 1991. You should consult your financial planner or tax adviser to determine the exact tax advantages of any gift you are considering. We provide a letter of notification for all gifts. If you need an additional copy for filing purposes, please call 703-414-7870.

Interested in donating appreciated stock or other non-cash assets? ASTS has more options for giving than ever before. If you’re interested in learning more about this option, please contact Maggie Kebler, Grants Manager, at maggie.kebler@asts.org.

The ASTS Foundation is grateful to members and non-members for their generous support of the Foundation and its mission.

Where is My Gift Going?

The ASTS Foundation strives to support research through grants to trainees, fellows, and faculty, but we need your help to continue transforming careers and supporting the discovery of new techniques and standards of care for transplant patients.

The research grants are an important part of ASTS’ mission and part of a portfolio of programs that benefit our members, which includes other initiatives such as the next phase of the ASTS Leadership Development Program. ASTS also works tirelessly to advocate for the field of transplantation as new regulations and laws are proposed and written, from pushing for the expansion of immunosuppressive drug coverage to vigorously advocating for transplantation to be included as an essential health benefit under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

ASTS needs your help to implement these programs and continue to create new opportunities. Donations of any amount to the ASTS Foundation are appreciated.  No contribution is too small (or too large); donate $25, $100, $1,000, or more. With your 100% tax-deductible contribution, every dollar you donate helps further our mission.
