COVID-19 Safety Protocols

We understand there are risks to attending and we are working to mitigate these risks as much as possible onsite.  Please read the below in preparation of your arrival in Miami:

  • Pre-registration online is required for the in-person meeting. To prevent lines at the registration desk, we will not offer on-site registration. Please bring your N95 or KN95 mask with you to wear onsite. We will also have a supply of KN95 masks available at the registration desk.
  • If you are feeling under the weather or test positive, please do not attend the in-person meeting. Sessions will be available online for you to access over the next 12 months.
  • Seating in meeting areas will be spaced out.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are located around the Loews Hotel for your use.

COVID-19 Testing Option

In accordance with ASTS's duty to host a meeting that reduces risks of known hazards, we are adopting a policy to safeguard the health of our members and the community at large from infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, that may be reduced by vaccinations. The ASTS Council strongly encourages all attendees at ASTS meetings to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.


Attendees are required to show documentation of full vaccination against COVID-19 during registration.

It is expected that those attending ASTS meetings will take precautions to prevent acquiring breakthrough infections and follow CDC guidelines regarding masking, social distancing, etc.

Continuing Medical Education

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons designates this live activity for a 16.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Credit hours are subject to change. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
