Cumulative sum (CUSUM) is a control-charting technique that can be used to monitor a transplant program’s risk-adjusted outcomes in near real time. The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) has begun releasing monthly CUSUM charts for all kidney, liver, heart, and lung transplant programs as of July 1, 2013. CUSUMs are produced to enable programs to perform internal quality monitoring of post transplant outcomes with more current data to allow for faster responses by the program.
The goal of this UNOS webinar is to discuss CUSUM charts and how they can be used for Transplant Hospital quality assessment and performance improvement.
The webinar will address key points about CUSUM, such as:

Interpretation of data within CUSUM charts
How CUSUM charts are different from Program Specific Reports (PSR)
Ways to use CUSUM to facilitate quality assessment and performance improvement
