Through a series of lectures and interactive sessions, all 2nd year fellows gain focused knowledge of many fundamentals in transplant surgery, particularly in some areas that have been identified as underemphasized in many training programs.
Sessions included in the symposium will cover topics including histocompatibility, immunosuppression, DCD management, transplant candidate evaluation, organ allocation, practical aspects of donor and recipient paring, CMS regulations and compliance, and professionalism.
