Connie White-Williams, PhD, RN, FAAN

With over 25 years of experience in heart failure and heart transplantation, Connie is currently the Director of the Center for Nursing Excellence at University Hospital in Birmingham. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and her Master of Science, which focused on Cardiovascular Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate, and PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. Connie’s research interests include quality of life outcomes, particularly return to school or work and social support after transplantation. She currently participates in several clinical effectiveness teams focused on improving the quality of care in patients with heart failure.
